China Shows Military Might in Massive Parade with Putin and Kim
China held one of its biggest-ever military parades in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, marking the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II.
President Xi Jinping stood alongside Russia’s Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, sending a strong signal to the West. Xi declared that the world faces a choice between peace or conflict, stressing China’s vision of strength and unity.
The 70-minute parade showcased China’s most advanced weapons, including hypersonic missiles, stealth fighter jets, underwater drones, and robotic military equipment. Thousands of troops marched in perfect formation as fighter jets flew overhead, creating a dramatic display of power and national pride.
Western leaders largely skipped the event, while leaders from countries such as Iran, Myanmar, Zimbabwe, and Cuba attended, showing support for China. The parade highlighted China’s growing role in global politics and its challenge to the Western-led world order.
Xi, dressed in a traditional Mao-style suit, reviewed the troops and declared that China’s rise is “unstoppable.” The event was designed to boost national pride at home and show strength to the world.
