Israel Will Decide Which Foreign Forces Can Go to Gaza, Says Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will choose which international forces are allowed to help with the Gaza ceasefire. He stressed that Israel will control its own security and decide which countries are not acceptable.
Even if a multinational peacekeeping force enters Gaza, Israel will have the right to reject certain countries. Netanyahu also said the United States agrees with Israel’s approach.
This comes as the world talks about sending international troops to Gaza. Countries like Indonesia, Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, and Azerbaijan were considered, but Israel has concerns, especially about Turkey joining the force.
Netanyahu’s statement shows that Israel wants full control over its security and any peacekeeping mission must have its approval.
Impact:
Israel’s decision might make it harder for foreign forces to join Gaza peace efforts. It could also affect talks about keeping peace and stability in the region.
